Brackish Water

Brackish water has a higher salinity than fresh water, but not as high as seawater. Brackish water commonly occurs when fresh water meets seawater such as in estuaries, mangroves, or it may occur in brackish aquifers. Brackish water can be treated with reverse osmosis or other water treatment technologies into safe drinking water.
