Jacobs has been selected by the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust to provide operations and maintenance services for the city’s wastewater treatment facilities and solids management program under a five-and-a-half-year contract.

The contract covers four wastewater treatment facilities with a combined capacity of more than 110 million gallons per day, along with a regional pump station. Jacobs will also support solids management activities, including biosolids disposal and septage receiving services.

The company said it will use enhanced maintenance practices, asset management and data-informed planning to support day-to-day operations and improve long-term asset reliability. The work is also intended to help inform Oklahoma City’s capital improvement priorities and regulatory compliance efforts as the metropolitan area continues to grow.

Jacobs has previously worked with the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust and said the new contract builds on that relationship. The award further expands the company’s water and wastewater operations and maintenance portfolio, which includes utility systems in Oklahoma, Mississippi, Texas, Delaware, Florida and Southern California.
