AGI is a software developer and GIS and database consulting firm

VUEWorks, Inc. is pleased to announce that Alsea Geospatial, Inc. (AGI) of Corvallis, Ore., has joined its channel partner program. AGI will provide sales, implementation and Web hosting services for the VUEWorks GIS-integrated work order and asset management solutions in the Pacific Northwest.

AGI is both a GIS and database consulting firm as well as a software developer of custom and off-the-shelf applications for desktop computers and handheld mobile devices. The company serves a broad spectrum of clients, including large federal land management and research agencies, state and regional governments, municipalities, utilities, corporations (both private and public) and nonprofit organizations. AGI and VUEWorks are both ESRI business partners and authorized developers.

“AGI’s focus is to help clients derive more value from their GIS investment,” commented John Gabriel, principal of AGI. “VUEWorks shares our mission—to extend the usability of the GIS data and make it easy for people to utilize it in their jobs without being GIS experts. Maintaining and rebuilding our nation’s physical infrastructure is now a top government priority, thanks to the Obama administration. Asset management has become an essential technology for government agencies, utilities and private organizations to manage their infrastructure while remaining fiscally responsible. VUEWorks provides advanced asset management features while being easy to use and affordable for any-sized organization. We are pleased to offer VUEWorks to our customers.”

“AGI’s corporate profile and commitment to value-added services is an excellent fit for VUEWorks and our customers,” commented Alex von Svoboda, vice president of sales and marketing for VUEWorks. “They have a solid history of GIS consulting and application development for utilities and government customers, and will greatly expand VUEWorks’ presence in the Pacific Northwest. We also look forward to being development partners with AGI as we develop new mobile utility applications in the future.”
