Companies to collaborate on industrial wastewater system performance

Environmental Business Specialists LLC (EBS), a Louisiana-based independent wastewater consulting and training company, and Microbe Detectives LLC, a Wisconsin-based company in metagenomic services, announced a multi-year partnership.

Through the partnership, the two companies will collaborate to advance performance of wastewater systems across North America in food processing, chemical processing, pulp and paper mills, and petroleum refineries. EBS will incorporate Microbe Detectives’ DNA sequencing services in EBS industrial best practices training programs. EBS also will resell the services as a complement to their consulting, training and lab services, and bioaugmentation products. Microbe Detectives will provide DNA analysis services and support.

“With 20 years experience solving wastewater issues, we have helped our clients in many ways,” said Mike Foster, founder and CEO of EBS. “One of our strengths has been to always challenge the status quo with regards to the approaches that we employ in the troubleshooting process. We are proud of our record of innovation in both the products we supply and the analytical techniques we employ.

“At the same time, we believe it is essential to not only keep up with innovation, but to lead in the application and communication of key innovations as we move into the future. Microbe Detectives’ specialized DNA analysis services for wastewater systems bring important new insights into the microbiology of these systems. This creates a new platform for problem solving and optimization that will allow our customers to achieve a new level of performance.”

“EBS is a leading expert service for industrial wastewater systems,” said John Tillotson, CEO of Microbe Detectives. “Through this collaboration, we have a great opportunity to learn from each other, advance the performance of client systems and provide clients with leading edge technology. This provides a true win-win opportunity for everyone involved.”
