Cortec has introduced EcoLine Surface Reveal, a biobased industrial paint remover designed to support safer and more sustainable coating removal in industrial applications. The formulation contains 77 percent USDA certified biobased content and is free of methylene chloride and NMP, providing an alternative to traditional solvent-based paint strippers.

The product is designed for removing coatings and resins from metal surfaces such as tanks, pipes and process equipment. It can be applied by brushing, rolling or dipping and is capable of removing acrylic and alkyd coatings in approximately 15 to 30 minutes depending on conditions. The formulation offers improved wetting characteristics to help penetrate coatings more effectively while maintaining compatibility with ferrous and non-ferrous metals without causing surface tarnishing.

EcoLine Surface Reveal also helps prevent flash corrosion following cleaning, supporting equipment protection after coating removal. An improved odor profile enhances usability for operators during application. Designed for industrial environments, the product provides a balance of performance and environmental considerations for facilities seeking efficient coating removal while reducing reliance on hazardous chemicals.
