Rotork Appoints Divisional Managing Directors

Feb. 5, 2015
David Littlejohns & Pamela Bingham have both been named managing directors within the company

Rotork announced that David Littlejohns has been appointed managing director of Rotork Fluid Systems (RFS), and Pamela Bingham is the new managing director of Rotork’s Gears division.

RFS is the second largest division of the Rotork Group and specializes in the production of pneumatic and hydraulic actuators and control systems. It has manufacturing facilities in the U.K., the U.S., Italy, Germany and Sweden, and the products are supported with Centres of Excellence that are strategically located around the world.

Littlejohns joined Rotork’s engineering design department in 1985 before moving to the U.S. in 1996 as an engineer. He moved into sales before becoming general manager of Rotork’s office in Petaluma, Calif. In 2006 he was appointed managing director of the Gears division and returned to the U.K.

“Joining the Rotork Fluid Systems team is an exciting opportunity for me and I expect to be able to combine my previous experience in the Controls and Gears divisions to help ensure the continued successful growth of the RFS business within the Rotork Group,” Littlejohns said.

The Gears division manufactures complete gearbox assemblies and valve adaption kits for use with actuators and as direct valve operators. It has facilities in The Netherlands, the U.K., Italy, China, the U.S. and India.

Bingham joined Rotork in 2012 as group business development director and during her time at Rotork she has helped grow the business both organically and through acquisitions. Previously she has held legal, commercial and business development roles in the engineering, mining, renewable energy and oil and gas sectors.

“I am delighted to be joining Rotork Gears and look forward to applying the experience and knowledge I have gained in my Rotork business development role to ensure continued growth for our Gears division,” Bingham said.
