Osmonics Selex Cartridge Filters Awarded European Patent
Recognizing its advanced technology that provides process industries with high-quality filtration products, Osmonics, Inc. was awarded patent rights from the European Patent Organization (EPO) for its Selex absolute-rated depth cartridge filters.
"Obtaining a patent from the EPO for our Selex line of filters reinforces our dedication to assuring superior quality for our customers," said Roger Miller, senior vice president and general manager, Osmonics Filtration and Separations Group. "The patented Selex manufacturing process controls the density and fiber size that are key to the filter’s high particle retention, high dirt holding capacity and long life."
Used primarily for demanding filtration applications in petrochemical, pure water, electronics, food and beverage and pharmaceutical processing, the Selex filter cartridge features pure polypropylene construction that provides it with the ability to operate effectively at temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit), achieve an absolute filtration performance and provide exceptional purity and fast rinse up.
The Selex cartridge filter is available in six different grades with removal ratings from one to 30 microns, and is available in continuous, weld free lengths to 40 inches with a standard two and one-half inch outside and one inch inside diameters.
