The Ford Meter Box Co. has begun shipping modified 5/8-in., 5/8-in.-by-3/4-in. and 1-in. ball valves. The most noticeable exterior changes are the wrench flats on the side of the body for placement of a smooth-jawed wrench, and valves with thread service line connections now have octagonal wrench flats for easier installation.
