Epoxy pipeline coating
Denso has introduced Archco 456, a two-component high-solids epoxy coating designed to enhance protection and performance in pipeline applications. Engineered for durability in demanding environments, the coating is suitable for internal lining of pipelines where corrosion resistance and flow efficiency are critical to long-term operation.
Archco 456 features a surface-tolerant formulation that allows application across a range of substrate conditions while requiring a single coat, helping reduce installation time and labor costs. The cured coating forms a hard, smooth surface that minimizes friction within pipelines, supporting improved flow characteristics and reduced turbulence. With a low surface tension of approximately 27 dynes, the coating is designed to enhance flow efficiency and contribute to overall operational savings.
The epoxy provides strong adhesion and abrasion resistance to protect against wear and extend pipeline service life. Designed to meet or exceed API RP 5L2 standards, Archco 456 supports compliance requirements while helping operators reduce maintenance needs and improve reliability across energy and utility infrastructure systems.
