The International Water Assn. (IWA) and the Indian Water Works Assn. (IWWA) in cooperation with Amsterdam RAI (the organizers of Aquatech Global Events) will join forces to provide an event for municipal water leaders during the Aquatech India 2011 exhibition.

Following a successful Utility Leaders Forum (ULF) in India in 2010, the second forum will take place on March 3 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, India. The forum provides a platform for CEOs of water utilities to come together to share the latest trends, emerging challenges and their own practical solutions on issues of concern. The impact on water service delivery in the region and around the globe is also a topic of discussion.

“The forum will not only address common issues, but it will focus on solutions that really work and sharing examples of good practice,” said Dr. Darren Saywell, IWA regional director for South Asia. “Implementing change to improve utility performance will be essential in dealing with existing and future challenges in the Indian and worldwide water industry.”

“This two-day forum provides a unique opportunity to interact with other leading executives and explore the role of strong leadership when delivering change within the Indian region,” said Mr. Dayanand Panse, honorary secretary general of IWWA. “The event will strengthen the local utility leaders’ network and therefore provide long term support to leaders implementing change.”
