Environmental Support Solutions (ESS) has announced its intent to acquire Jordan Systems, Inc. (JSI), a developer of chemical inventory and waste management tracking, management and regulatory reporting software.

Jordan Systems, Inc., founded in 1987 and based in Colorado Springs, Colo., is a privately held company recognized as a leading provider of hazardous material inventory tracking, reportable chemical management, Right-to-Know compliance, environmental and safety reporting, waste reduction, cost accounting, and pollution prevention software. Jordan's clients include Fortune 1000 companies in the electronics, aerospace, avionics, transportation, appliance, automotive, paper, plastics and defense industries. The company's current line of software products includes: Hazardous Material Manager(TM) (HMM), TIER II WIN and EnTrack.

This acquisition allows Environmental Support Solutions to integrate Jordan's "Best of Class" features from the HMM software into its comprehensive Environmental Management Information Software (EMIS) product for corporate management of environmental data. The program supports a multifaceted framework of features including: MSDS approval, on-line MSDS management, a reportable chemical database, life cycle container tracking, process management tracking, management reports and state and federal report generation. It also is a module in the opsEnvironmental(TM) product line.

"Our HMM software encompasses the key environmental component of any EMIS software solution," said Joseph Jordan, president of Jordan Systems. "This program can follow waste streams from cradle to grave and give corporate E&HS professionals access to a reportable chemical database of more than 22,000 chemical synonyms and to on-line MSDS information on these chemicals 24 hours a day."

Robert Johnson, president of Environmental Support Solutions said, "Jordan Systems has a reputation for quality software products and outstanding support services. We look forward to integrating these outstanding products into our complete EMIS solution for meeting the demands of environmental reporting in real time. In addition, Jordan Systems has an outstanding staff of experienced programming and support personnel," he added. "We are excited to be adding them to the team."
