April 4, 2005

EPA’s Office of Water has added to its website new pages designed just for children, featuring a new mascot-like character called "Thirstin."

The new pages contain games, activities and narrated/animated classroom experiments. Some of the activities include an animated water cycle, word scramble, word search, water trivia and "Thirstin's Wacky Water Adventure."

Teachers and students can work online or download some of the information for classroom use. The new pages are located at http://www.epa.gov/safewater/kids/index.html.
