Danfoss Drives Extended Warranty Program Covers Common Sources of Accidental Drive Damage

May 5, 2010
Coverage is available for new and installed drives for periods up through six years

Danfoss Drives introduces the DrivePro-tection insurance program for its VLT AQUA Variable Frequency Drives. DrivePro-tection covers the cost of damage from lightning strikes and other line anomalies, load anomalies, accidental exposure to moisture or corrosives and accidental physical damage resulting from collision from the time of shipment from the Danfoss Drives factory. Coverage is available for new and installed drives for periods up through six years. Contact Danfoss Drives for price and availability.

“Danfoss DrivePro-tection can significantly minimize the potential downtime and support expense of many types of accidental drive damage. Like with any insurance, you hope you never need to use it. But should damage to a VLT AQUA drive occur, users with a DrivePro-tection contract have peace of mind knowing that one call provides unmatched protection and onsite support from the leaders in drive technology, service and support,” said Ralph Ewert, director of service, Danfoss Drives North America.

Onsite support is provided by local authorized Danfoss Drives service partner companies throughout the continental United States, plus Anchorage, Alaska, and Honolulu, Hawaii, as well as Canada. Onsite service covers:
• Replacement drive material;
• Drive repair labor;
• Travel expense; and • Freight costs.

DrivePro-tection does not cover damage resulting from the misapplication of VLT AQUA drives, nor does it cover damage caused by chronic application problems.
