Application Submissions Open For $1,000 WWEMA Scholarship

Applications are now available and may be submitted for the 2018 WWD/WWEMA Scholarship. The deadline to apply is Oct. 19.

Every year, Water & Wastes Digest and the Water & Wastewater Equipment Manufacturer’s Assn. partner to provide a $1,000 scholarship to a student pursuing an education to enter the water or wastewater industry.

To qualify for this scholarship, students must be affiliated with WWEMA-member company (as a member's child or as a member-company intern) and must be accepted to a four-year bachelor’s program in an acceptable field of study by an accredited institution of higher learning. Examples of acceptable fields of study include biology, chemical engineering, chemistry, civil engineering, environmental engineering, environmental sciences and/or natural resources planning.

WWD and WWEMA believe that empowering young minds to take part in the water and wastewater industries is vital to establishing a strong pipeline of talent and skill for the future. The next generation will bring new and exciting ideas to the forefront that could be the next widespread innovation or concept.

Students who are interested in careers in the water and wastewater industries are encouraged to apply for this scholarship.
