Aqua America Hires New Communications Director

Stacey Hajdak will be responsible for managing the internal and external communication strategies for the company and its subsidiaries

Aqua America Inc. has hired Stacey Hajdak to lead its communications department. In her new role, Hajdak will be responsible for managing the internal and external communication strategies for the company and its subsidiaries.

Hajdak comes to Aqua America most recently from the Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support where she was chief, corporate communications and public affairs officer. Prior to then, she served as director of communications for Bucks County, Pa., and as a senior account executive for a public relations firm in Great Neck, N.Y.

“Stacey has comprehensive and varied experience in communications that will suit her well as she leads our team of experienced communications professionals,” said director of legislative and public affairs and regulatory counsel Kim Joyce. “We look forward to her leadership in enhancing our internal and external communications programs.”

Hajdak is currently pursuing an M.S. in communications management from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She earned a B.S. in psychology from the New York Institute of Technology and earned her Accreditation in Public Relations.

Hajdak is a former U.S. Army Reserve officer who, among multiple assignments, commanded a military police company during a 14-month Operation Iraqi Freedom tour and served as a public affairs officer.
