Food & Beverage Panel: Coordinating with Utilities & Meeting Permit Requirements

March 1, 2021

Join us for the Food & Beverage Panel: Coordinating with Utilities & Meeting Permit Requirements webinar!

This webinar will cover food and beverage water and wastewater from the perspective of an industrial user — in this case a brewer — and a utility.

The industrial panelist will discuss their system and the challenges they overcame to meet discharge requirements with their local utility. The utility will discuss the difficulties in receiving high strength waste and how they manage it. Together, panelists will talk about how to create a good relationship and even partnership between industrial dischargers and municipal receivers. Additionally, we will discuss alternatives to the problems presented.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understanding the relationship between industrial users, such as breweries, and their respective utility.
  • The challenges that industrial users overcome to meet permitting requirements for their utility.
  • How to handle high strength waste at a utility from a brewery or other industrial user, and what goes into setting permitting requirements for breweries.

When: Mar. 24, 2021 at 3 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. CT
