Some Buffalo officials believe their water is good enough to bottle and sell, providing extra revenue for the city.

Buffalo Common Council Majority Leader Marc Coppola wants the Water Board to consider installing a filtration and bottling system, as well as do research to explore the potential to penetrate the growing bottled water market.

Coppola is sponsoring a bill that urges the Water Board to launch a study and report its findings in March.

The bill will be considered today by the full Council.
