Tetra Tech, IRG Win $2B Water Resources Contract

Tetra Tech, Inc. and International Resources Group Ltd. (IRG) announced today that their Joint Venture (JV) team was awarded a $2 billion Integrated Water and Coastal Resources Management (IWCRM) contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Five large business teams will share in the aggregate contract ceiling for this five-year, indefinite-quantity contract. The contract is one of the largest ever awarded by USAID and is also the largest contract ceiling awarded to either JV partner.

The JV will provide technical assistance and engineering services for water and coastal management projects in developing countries around the world. The contract scope includes institutional strengthening; policy and legal program support; technical program support; information exchange, performance monitoring and evaluation; assessment and analysis; engineering design; and strategic planning.

Work will be closely coordinated with host country government institutions and other stakeholders in water and coastal resources management.

USAID is an independent federal agency that provides economic, development and humanitarian assistance around the world in support of the foreign policy goals of the United States.

This IWCRM contract supports projects that involve water supply, wastewater treatment and sanitation, water and wastewater utility management, irrigation, watershed and river basin management and planning, urban stormwater management, groundwater aquifer management, hydropower, coral reef protection, sustainable fisheries, aquaculture and aquatic ecosystem management, meteorology, hydrology, non-point source pollution prevention, water-related infrastructure finance, water quality management and regulation, and industrial pollution prevention and control.
