American Water Star Joins Forces with Preferred Products Inc.

American Water Star announced that effective immediately John Freeman, former VP, divisional merchandising manager (DMM) of Sam's Club, has joined forces in the marketing and distribution of their award-winning line of healthy beverages including Hawaiian Tropic, Geyser Sport and Aqua Fresca Sport, their no-sugar, no-calorie and 1-carb formulas.

Freeman is a nationally recognized leader in merchandising, marketing and distribution for major national food and beverage accounts. As the former vice president and DMM of Sam's Club, he was in charge of nationwide food and sundries for the entire Sam's Club division of Wal-Mart.

Building on a successful 25-year career, he formed a national sales and marketing company, Preferred Products Inc. (PPI) in Bentonville, Ark. PPI is centrally located and nationally positioned to introduce and place quality products for manufacturers. His established relationships with mass merchandisers and food and beverage retailers, including Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Target and McLanes Co., will further accelerate the rapid growth of AMWS products.

Freeman's responsibilities will include establishing and managing national accounts for AMWS' brands while expanding the company's relationships with major national wholesalers and retailers including Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Target and McLanes Co.
