Wolong Electric America is highlighting its medium voltage variable frequency drives engineered to deliver reliable motor control and energy efficiency in demanding industrial environments, including water and wastewater facilities. Designed for critical assets such as pumps, blowers and compressors, the drives combine advanced power electronics with rugged construction to support long-term operational performance.

Built on a cascaded H-bridge topology using an IGBT-based multi-level voltage source inverter, the system produces low-distortion output that eliminates the need for output filters and supports both legacy and modern motors. Power cell redundancy and neutral rebalancing allow continued operation in the event of a module failure, while a modular architecture enables faster maintenance and reduced downtime. An all-copper pulse phase shift transformer, standard on models starting at 1,000 horsepower, reduces harmonic distortion and supports compliance with IEEE 519 and utility requirements.

The drives are available for 4,160-volt applications from 1,000 to 5,500 horsepower, with optional configurations from 3.3 to 13.8 kilovolts. A user interface supports monitoring, fault diagnostics and integration with plant control systems, helping utilities optimize performance and reliability across high-demand operations.
