Xylem opens expanded Flygt distribution and training hub in Toronto
Xylem has opened an 87,000-square-foot Flygt distribution, service and training hub in Toronto, expanding its capacity to support municipal and industrial water and wastewater customers across Canada.
More than four times the size of the company’s previous Toronto facility, the hub increases storage capacity by 350% and is expected to distribute more than 100,000 Flygt pumps, parts and products annually. Expanded inventory and repair capabilities are intended to improve equipment availability, accelerate service and reduce downtime for customers.
The facility also includes a dedicated Xylem Academy offering hands-on technical and application training for customers, channel partners and employees. The programs are designed to build technical skills, support technology adoption and promote industry best practices.
The expansion follows seven years of growth for Flygt in Canada and aims to help utilities and industrial operators address aging water and wastewater infrastructure, stormwater management and operational needs.
“This new hub builds on those roots by bringing service, distribution, training and expertise together in one location,” said Hayati Yarkadas, executive vice president and president of Water Infrastructure at Xylem, in a press release.
