Company provides precision-engineered penstocks for highway project

Industrial Penstocks retained its approved supplier status with Ashghal, the public works authority in Qatar, and it won a new order for six precision-engineered penstocks for the Dukhan Highway East project in Qatar.

Ashghal is responsible for the planning, design, procurement, construction, delivery, and asset management of all infrastructure projects and public buildings in Qatar.

“Working closely alongside our agent, Intermodal Services Co. W.L.L, who brings a wealth of contractual expertise to our work in Qatar and the Middle East, our continued Ashghal approval and new penstock order has had to meet unmatched worldwide standards,” said Paul Higginson, director for Industrial Penstocks.

For the project, which is one of the two major routes being widened in Doha, the capital of Qatar, the new, wall-mounted penstocks are sized from 400 by 400 mm to 2400 by 2400 mm. The penstocks are made to BS7775 with stainless steel 316L frames and doors benefitting from EPDM-resilient seals.
