United Utilities has appointed C2V+, a CH2M HILL and VolkerStevin joint venture, as one of four construction delivery partners (CDP) for Asset Management Programme 6 (AMP6).
The AMP6 contract is a design and construct framework for the next capital investment period, from 2015 to 2020, and covers the full spectrum of works for both water and wastewater across the northwest England geographic area for which United Utilities is responsible. The contract could be further extended to 2026.
The framework comprises multidisciplinary activities including design, project management, construction, testing, commissioning and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment works, pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs and mechanical and electrical installations.
"Today's announcement is the result of a lengthy, robust and rigorous selection process and we're confident that these are the right partners to help deliver real improvements for our customers and the environment during AMP6 and beyond," said Steven Fraser, United Utilities managing director.
Both CH2M Hill and VolkerStevin have experience working with United Utilities. The two companies also work together in other sectors including flood defense, environmental and marine.
