A ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate Grundfos North America’s Aurora, Ill., water utility center will take place Tuesday, April 24 at 11:00 a.m.
The center will function as the Grundfos North American competence center for municipal water, where research and development operations will bring market-sustainable and innovative solutions for water supply and wastewater challenges. Its sister operation is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
As the world’s leading manufacturer of water pumps, Grundfos has grown nearly five-fold in the United States during the past decade. Since acquiring Yeomans Chicago Corp. in 2008, Grundfos has invested more than $20 million in the Aurora facility to shift pump production from Europe to North America.
The April 24th program will feature presentations by the Honorable Pia Olsen Dyhr, the Danish Minister for Trade and Investment; Jes Munk Hansen, president & CEO of Grundfos North America and other local dignitaries. The event will include a facility tour and a reception for local community leaders, Grundfos employees and members of the Danish trade delegation accompanying Minister Dyhr.
