Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Named Winner in National Contest

Won merchandise and all-expenses paid trip from Cintas and Carhartt

Based on public votes at the contest website, Brooke Boyer from Mt. Shasta, Calif. has been named the grand prize winner of the Cintas & Carhartt Cold Crew contest. She will receive $100 in Carhartt merchandise and an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the 2012 STIHL TIMBERSPORTS Series in June.

The Cold Crew contest was launched last December in conjunction with the release of the new Carhartt Rental Active Jacket, offered exclusively by Cintas Corp., North America’s largest uniform provider. The goal was to recognize workers in the U.S. and Canada whose jobs require them to withstand tough working conditions in cold temperatures.

Brooke works long hours outdoors at a wastewater treatment facility maintaining and collecting samples from their six wastewater ponds. She is also a public works employee who assists with plowing snow during the winter months.

“I wear Carhartt every day from September through April, and I truly appreciate the warmth it provides,” says Brooke. “I was totally shocked to learn I won this contest,” she adds. “I relied on my Facebook friends and my huge family for support, so I have many people to thank.”

Morgan Archibald, a line clearance tree trimmer from Salt Lake City, and Ryan Kopicky, a landscape supervisor from Williams, Ariz., were named second and third place winners and will also receive $100 in Carhartt merchandise. The remaining seven finalists listed below will be awarded $50 in Carhartt merchandise for their participation.
