Aquatech announced it has been actively operating the MoVap wastewater treatment solution for shale gas at a field location near Masontown, Pa. To mark the company’s progress to date, Aquatech launched a series of special events for natural gas producers and professionals, regulators, government and industry leaders and members of the media to see the unit in live operation.
MoVap, which is part of the company’s MoSuite portfolio of water treatment options for the shale gas industry, represents Aquatech’s 30-year history of providing the most sophisticated and comprehensive produced water treatment solutions around the world, innovatively scaling it for mobile applications on the well pad.
When fully treated with the proprietary solution, waters can be reused or returned to the environment in compliance with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits.
