Stormwater Management Donates $20K to Environmental Organizations
Stormwater Management, Inc. designates a portion of its year-end profits to environmentally focused non-profit organizations. Voting for these philanthropic awards is conducted via an online survey sent to more than 20,000 recipients.
The top three winners of the 2004 Stormwater Management Year-End Giving Campaign are the Santa Monica BayKeepers (Calif.), the Orange County CoastKeepers (Calif.), and the Upper Chattahoochee RiverKeepers (Ga.).
"We are pleased to support these organizations that have made significant contributions to a cleaner environment," said David Pollock, president and CEO. "As our business of helping to clean water grows, we look forward to further support of worthy environmental organizations. We believe it is important for all businesses to participate in making our world a better place to live."
Philanthropy is an ongoing commitment for Stormwater Management, with donations to organizations throughout the year as part of the company’s commitment to clean water. Through the extensive responses from the online voting process, several additional organizations will also be considered for 2005’s contributions.
Seven other organizations were also awarded several thousand dollars, including two from Ore. (Tualatin RiverKeepers and The Wetlands Conservancy); Wash. (Environmental Coalition of South Seattle), Pa. (Stroud Research Group), Calif. (The League to Save Lake Tahoe), Md. (Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay), and Wis. (Fox-Wolf Alliance).
