The Water Quality Association (WQA) 30th Annual Convention and Exhibition taking place in Baltimore, Md., this week was off to a full start yesterday. It brought a full schedule of seminars, meetings and networking opportunities.

Seminars for residential to industrial and ultraviolet to arsenic all set the stage for the WQA educational progam. Also there were multiple opportunities for dealers, retailers, manufacturers and everyone else involved in the water treatment industry to be heard. Section meetings, which included dealer and manufacturer/supplier, brought industry voices together. Committee meetings including market development, water sciences, government relations and member services all met to discuss current industry needs and trends. The committees and sections served as a chance to be heard and help shape the water treatment industry.

The Welcome Reception joined new and old friends together at the Wyndham Hotel International Ballroom. This event served as a forum for professionals to make new contacts to meet with later at the show.

Lastly, friends of the association and new members were honored at the President's Club/New Member Reception on Wednesday night. WQA members that have sponsored three or more new members in the last year are recognized and honored with a private reception hosted by the WQA president.
