CCWA Employee Receives Golden Honor
Charles Ecton has worn many titles in his 12 years with the Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA), from sewer line repairman to survey assistant to GIS technician. But at the Georgia Water & Pollution Control Association’s fall conference, he added another to his vast repertoire—the title of inductee into the elite Golden Manhole Award Society.
The honor comes from the Georgia section of the Water Environment Federation. The Golden Manhole honors those who have made significant contributions in the area of sewer collection systems. Induction is based on a person’s involvement in promoting professional recognition of the collection system field, participation in the WEF collection system committee submission of papers and presentations for publication and conferences, and the endorsement of supervisors or others in the field.
