Severn Trent to Host Conference in California on Evaluating Arsenic Removal

In an effort to facilitate discussion and provide the public with information on state-of-the-art technologies, Severn Trent Services will host a free, one-day conference in Northern California to discuss arsenic removal solutions.
Identifying cost-effective and commercially proven methods for arsenic removal/treatment technologies is a growing need for many municipalities in the Western states. With the January 2006 implementation date approaching, municipalities must quickly make provisions for meeting the new federal MCL of 10 ppb in drinking water. In an effort to facilitate discussion and provide the public with information on state-of-the-art technologies, Severn Trent Services will host a free, one-day conference in Northern California to discuss arsenic removal solutions on Jan. 20, 2004.
Topics scheduled for discussion include arsenic chemistry, arsenic removal treatment options, pilot testing and full-scale design and installation. The event is the fourth in a series of seminars that Severn Trent has organized.
"Evaluating Arsenic Removal Solutions in Northern California" offers public works professionals, state officials, technical experts and others the opportunity to participate in a detailed review of this pressing public safety concern. Speakers include
