National Automatic Meter Reading Distribution Alliance Formed

Executives with Datamatic Ltd., announced a strategic alliance with the Hughes Electronic Utilities Group’ Hughes Supply, Inc. Under the agreement, Hughes will distribute Datamatic technologies including the FIREFLY Automatic Meter Reading System to utilities across the U.S.

According to Datamatic officials, utilities than deploy this type of meter reading technology can offer higher levels of customer service, deter theft, conduct leak detection, conduct load studies and enforce conservation policy.
