In March, WWD published “Building More Resilient Cities,” an article about smart sensors for sewer networks and their implementation in Miami-Dade County, Florida to address storm sewer overflows. Authors Itai Dadon and Mark Serres along with Antonio Cotarelo join Bob Crossen to discuss the project in more depth, the regulatory challenges Miami-Dade had to overcome, and how the county can be a model for other sewer networks to implement similar systems.
