Adam Carpenter is the manager of energy and environmental policy for the American Water works Association.

Adam Carpenter is the manager of energy and environmental policy for the American Water works Association. He earned his doctorate while working full time, moving into a new house, getting married, changing jobs and starting a family with two children over nine-year period. While his career started with large government contractors, Carpenter learned over time the projects he was most interested in working on involved water. The more he pursued the field, the more he realized how important it was to him, and now he works on policy regarding water daily.
