The Water Council has announced the companies selected for the 2023 cohort of its BREW 2.0 Post Accelerator program.

This is the third year for The Water Council’s BREW 2.0, which focuses on late-stage water technology startups ready to enter the market or with early sales. The program includes two weeks of targeted virtual training followed by an in-person week in Milwaukee with programming, a public pitch event and investor networking. The participants will present their innovations at a hybrid in-person/virtual pitch event for water industry professionals and investors Thursday, June 22.

The 10 selected companies hail from the U.S., France, Norway Spain and Slovakia.

The Water Council also announced that water technology company Xylem is a new corporate sponsor for the program in 2023. In addition to providing financial support for BREW 2.0, Xylem will help review applications, lead a BREW training session and participate in the program’s annual Demo Day. Xylem joins current sponsors Beckhoff Automation and Thales Water Advisors.

“Innovation and technology are critical to solving urgent water challenges,” said Sivan Zamir, vice president of Xylem Innovation Labs. “We are proud to be a part of this program offering tactical and practical training to innovators across the globe.”

Xylem is a longtime member of The Water Council. It moved its Sanitaire operations to the Global Water Center in Milwaukee, the headquarters of The Water Council, in 2021.

“Xylem has always been supportive of The Water Council’s mission to solve global water challenges through freshwater innovation and water stewardship,” said Dean Amhaus, The Water Council’s president and CEO. “With Xylem’s strong commitment and global brand for water technology excellence, we are thrilled to be working with Xylem Innovation Labs in supporting the next generation of promising startups.”
