Centrisys Secures Order from Robert W. Hite Treatment Facility in Denver, Colorado for Eight Decanter Centrifuges

Centrisys Corporation, a leading North American manufacturer of decanter and thickening centrifuges and dewatering systems, announced that shipping preparations are underway for an order for eight CS26-4 decanter centrifuges from the Metro Wastewater Reclamation District (“Metro District”) in Denver, Colorado. The new centrifuges will replace aging equipment and will support increased performance and capacity at the Robert W. Hite Treatment Facility, as the district moves into a new biological phosphorus removal process.

“As Denver moves to a biological phosphorus removal process, sludge becomes more difficult to dewater,” said Michael Kopper, president and chief executive officer of Centrisys. “Only decanter centrifuges offering a smaller footprint design and higher capacity were considered. I am confident the upgrade to our CS26-4 decanter centrifuges, along with the biological phosphorus solution provided by our partner company CNP, will meet the facility’s needs for better performance, higher capacity, less maintenance, and a focus on service and support.”

Centrisys worked closely with Lakewood, Colorado environmental consultants Brown and Caldwell on the plant’s new centrifuge design layout. All units will be designed, engineered, and built in the United States at Centrisys’ Kenosha, Wisconsin-based facilities.

WELTEC BIOPOWER and Nordmethan Operate Under a Single Name

For many years, the German companies WELTEC BIOPOWER GmbH and Nordmethan GmbH have been cooperating as part of the same group. While WELTEC builds biogas and biomethane plants around the globe, Nordmethan supplements the portfolio with the operation of energy plants. All companies of both businesses will operate under the globally recognised umbrella brand WELTEC BIOPOWER, according to a press release.

"This brand realignment was necessary in order to perpetuate our global success story and reinforce our positioning as a competent biogas specialist in all areas of the industry. By operating under a single name, we intend to further increase the efficiency of the synergies between the individual business areas, which we had already been making use of,” said Jens Albartus, director of the WELTEC Group.
