Dewberry announced that Patrick Covil, PE, CFM, LEED AP, has joined the firm’s Raleigh, N.C., office as a project manager. He will support the firm’s civil engineering practice, specializing in water resources, site development, and storm water conveyance solutions for municipal, industrial, federal and private clients.
With more than 13 years of civil engineering experience, Covil has managed water resources projects and is experienced in flood studies for public and private clients and storm water management design and permitting. His specialties include project management, bridge and culvert hydraulic design, storm water management plans, erosion and sediment control, drainage planning, flood studies and floodplain permitting, and storm water control measure design. At Dewberry, he will be responsible for the scope, schedule and budget of civil projects, as well as client coordination.

Covil received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from North Carolina State University. He is the president-elect of the Professionals Engineers of North Carolina (PENC) Central Carolina chapter.
