Tsurumi Pump named Chuck Rickman its new vice president of sales. Rickman previously served as vice president of product development for Bakercorp, a Plano, Texas-based industrial leasing firm.
Rickman joined Tsurumi in August 2016. He will assume the responsibilities of the recently retired Bill Davidson and will work directly with Tsurumi’s regional sales managers to establish new distribution channels, forecast sales, attend trade shows and assist with pricing, among other duties.
“I joined Tsurumi because the potential for personal and professional growth is incredible,” said Rickman. “It’s not every day you get to become a part of a team that has the desire and drive to solve customers’ challenges like Tsurumi does. It’s a unique place where employees’ expertise is only matched by their enthusiasm.”
Rickman earned his bachelor’s degree in communications at Eastern Illinois University and served in the National Guard as a vehicle operator in Operation Desert Storm and Operation Desert Shield.
“Chuck’s management skills are phenomenal,” said Glenn Wieczorek, managing director for Tsurumi. “But it’s more than that—he strikes a great balance between passion for the work and intelligence on the job. Chuck perfectly fits with our corporate culture and has already found ways to streamline some of our internal systems. The world has come to trust Tsurumi products, and, with Chuck on board, I think we’ve found an ideal ambassador for our brand that will help maintain that trust.”
