Arcadis North America Expands Leadership Team in Chicago

Office relocates to Michigan Avenue, team grows with new executives

Arcadis announced the expansion of its leadership team in Chicago and the relocation of its Chicago team to a larger office space along the city’s famed Michigan Avenue.

Arcadis has more than 250 engineers, architects, scientists and construction program management professionals in the Chicago area and has recently relocated a key executive and hired several others to continue the company’s growth momentum, expand its market presence in the Chicago region and continue to deliver pioneering engineering solutions and capabilities. These changes will build on Arcadis’ clients’ achievements in the area, which include helping Chicago’s water quality rank #2 globally in the Arcadis Sustainable Cities Water Index. 

Justin Wright, president of Arcadis’ North America buildings’ business, has relocated to Chicago from Phoenix. Wright will continue to lead a growing U.S. buildings practice from the firm’s Chicago regional office, which is moving into an expanded space at 200 S. Michigan Ave., adjacent to CallisonRTKL, Arcadis’ design and architectural consultancy.

Additional executives recently joined the Chicago team:

  • Paul Darby joins Arcadis to lead the Chicago buildings operations. With more than 30 years of experience in leading, managing and executing strategic business programs for professional service firms, he brings to Arcadis his experience with corporate/industrial, healthcare, higher education, hospitality, public sector and commercial interiors.
  • David Pellizzari joins Arcadis as the major market manager for transit and transportation and brings more than 25 years of transportation and aviation experience. He has led major projects for transportation clients across Chicago and the Midwest including Chicago Department of Transportation, O’Hare International Airport, Chicago Transit Authority, Metra, Illinois Department of Transportation and the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority.
  • LeeAnn Tomas-Foster joins the company as environmental public market leader. She brings more than 19 years of experience in environmental due diligence, compliance and program management in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining Arcadis, she performed leadership roles at the Public Building Commission of Chicago and the Chicago Park District managing their environmental divisions.
  • Bob Learmouth joins Arcadis as the global contractors leader and brings more than 20 years of experience in design-build and construction projects across the globe. He joined Arcadis from Parsons Brinkerhoff and previously served at AECOM in Canada.
  • Eric Brousseau joins Arcadis as mergers & acquisitions transactions director in the company’s North American Environment business and brings more than 20 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions.

For decades, Arcadis has delivered on water, buildings, infrastructure and environmental projects and programs in the Chicago area while delivering clean water, clean air, enhanced mobility and many other benefits for a better quality of life for Chicago communities, including:

  • Construction management for the Chicago Transit Authority’s $203 million Wilson Transfer Station Project, providing to customers uninterrupted service throughout the 1,265 days of construction;
  • Construction management of the $32.5 million Subway Tunnel Communication project that keeps riders connected and commuters productive while on the train;
  • Program management for the $1.1 billion Modern Schools Across Chicago program bringing new schools and substantial renovations to Chicago communities for the Public Building Commission of Chicago;
  • Storm Water Master Planning for the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, which is investigating green solutions to solve basement backups and overland flooding problems for a pilot area in the South Suburbs;
  • Program management for the $3.6 billion Chicago Department of Water Management’s 10-year Capital Improvement Program to restore critical pipes to new condition and to ensure drinking water service to customers;
  • Design of the $31 million final disinfection project for Chicago’s Calumet Water Reclamation Plant that nearly eliminates bacterial discharge;
  • Award-winning environmental cleanup of the $22 million former Wisconsin Steel Works site that restored a critical 180-acre property located on the Calumet River on Chicago’s South Side and returned it to viable commercial use by private industrial enterprises; and
  • Program management for the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, the future of the  Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, which will be the first-ever “translational” research hospital in which clinicians, scientists and innovators will work together in the same space, applying research in real time.
