New Infrastructure Manager Hired for Engineering Firm

Daniel Dow, P.E., joins the firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newman, as infrastructure manager focused on the wastewater market

Daniel Dow, P.E., joins planning, engineering and program management firm Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) as infrastructure manager focused on the water and wastewater market in Central Texas. In this role, he will serve as project manager and senior engineer for major treatment, collection and distribution projects.

Dow has more than 15 years of experience as a designer, manager and process engineer in a wide variety of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects with a focus on wastewater treatment.

He has worked extensively with aging infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, and improvement and replacement programs along with new infrastructure for growing municipalities.

Prior to joining LAN, he was the regional service group manager for Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc., where he managed the replacement and expansion of numerous wastewater treatment plants, sewer replacement and rehabilitation, pump station improvements, and collection and distribution systems.

Some of his projects include managing a $65 million waste water treatment plant expansion program that included membrane bioreactor treatment, planning, permitting and designing approximately 150,000 ft of combined gravity, low pressure and force main collection system to an unsewered area, as well as serving as lead engineer and project manager for a new reverse osmosis plant.

Dow holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Colorado State University. He is a registered engineer in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and is in the process of obtaining his license in Texas.
