Mark Dimmock has been named managing director of the Australia-Pacific operations of Parsons Brinckerhoff, a global strategic consulting, planning, engineering and program/construction management organization.
Dimmock’s role will take effect on July 2. He succeeds Jim Mantle.
In his new role, Dimmock will oversee 2500 employees working on a diverse range of projects covering transport, water, power, mining, oil and gas, industry and property. He will be responsible for setting the direction and positioning the business for future growth in the Australia-Pacific region.
“Mark brings 22 years’ experience to the position and has tremendous depth and breadth of knowledge of our clients, our business and the region,” said Guy Templeton, president and chief operating officer of Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Australia/Asia-Pacific/Southern Africa operating company.
“Prior to heading up our global mining business, Mark worked on major projects covering civil infrastructure, traffic, industrial and urban development, and mining, and was responsible for the management of multidisciplinary design teams for large industrial projects and developments,” said Templeton.
Dimmock will continue as the firm’s managing director of Global Mining.
Dimmock holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil) from the University of Newcastle and a master’s degree in business administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
