Vortechnics Expands Sales and Business Team to Meet Growing Demands of National Stormwater Market

Vortechnics Inc., a provider of stormwater treatment systems, has named Kevin Quelet regional sales manager for the company’s mid-Atlantic territory. Additionally, Vortechnics has expanded its staff at the corporate headquarters to include Jeff Grant, scheduler, and Lorraine Swensley, accounting clerk.

Kevin Quelet has been named the new regional sales manager for the company’s mid-Atlantic territory. Based out of the Vortechnics regional sales office in Bel Air, MD, Quelet is responsible for leading new business development and all sales activities in Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, New York City and Long Island.

With more than 25 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering, Quelet has extensive experience in stormwater management, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, water quality best management practices and water quality facilities. Prior to joining Vortechnics, Quelet managed design and production of residential, commercial and industrial site development projects as director of engineering services with George William Stephens, Jr. & Associates, Inc. of Towson, MD. Previously, Quelet was with Campbell & Nolan Associates, Inc. of Bel Air, MD as a project manager and was with Dewberry & Davis of Baltimore, MD in progressively responsible positions in management and engineering.

Quelet holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Drexel University. He is a registered professional engineer with the states of Maryland and West Virginia, as well as a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, including that organization’s Stormwater Committee.

Jeff Grant joined Vortechnics in the new position of scheduler and is responsible for coordinating the many facets of the company’s product delivery throughout the U.S. and Canada. Prior to joining the company Grant held inside sales and design positions at George R. Roberts Co. in Alfred, ME. Previously, Grant held positions with Peoples Heritage Bank of South Portland as facilities planner and with Hussey Seating Company of North Berwick as technical specialist and project coordinator. Grant holds a degree from Northern Maine Technical College.

Lorraine Swensley has been hired as accounting clerk supporting the company’s finance group. Previously, Swensley held positions with Pacific Bell of Hayward, CA as a senior systems analyst and with New England Telephone of Boston, MA as a systems programmer. Swensley holds a bachelor’s degree from Bates College and a master’s degree in telecommunications management from Golden Gate University.
