Clearwater, Inc., Acquires WSP Chemicals & Technology, Inc.

Clearwater, Inc., has acquired WSP Chemicals & Technology, Inc., an Ambridge, Pa.-based manufacturer of synthetic water-soluble polymers.

The addition of WSP will create a new Water-Soluble Polymer division focusing on the development of products for the oil field, personal care, paper and water treatment markets. The integration of cementing and drilling polymers complements Clearwater's position as a leading supplier of oil gelling chemistry to the oil field industry.
