Veolia North America’s Municipal Water division has been affected by a ransomware incident, reports WaterWorld magazine.

Veolia North America’s Municipal Water division has suffered a ransomware cyberattack, affecting personal information and customers’ bill payments, according to an article by WaterWorld.

Veolia serves more than 200 communities across America, operating as both a regulated utility and contract operator of water and wastewater systems.

The cyberattack impacted individuals’ personal information in an undisclosed manner. Veolia’s recovery from the incident disrupted its online bill payment systems.
