Ultrasonic Flowmeter Operates in Challenging Fluid Conditions

May 19, 2014
The flowmeter is ideal for applications where harsh chemicals or abrasive fluids are used

Sonic-Pro S3 hybrid ultrasonic flowmeters can be used in Doppler or transit time operation methods. Because the ultrasonic sound transducers are clamped to the outside of the pipe wall, the unit can measure flow in both clean and dirty fluids. In addition, because the meter does not come in contact with the fluid being measured, Sonic-Pro is well-suited for use in applications where harsh chemicals and other abrasive fluids are being used.

Sonic-Pro will measure fluid flow in virtually any fluid in which sound waves can travel.

Sonic-Pro can be set up remotely with a Windows PC. Users can view real-time flow and download data log files remotely on a Windows PC.

Additional features include: custom quality metric algorithms and DSP technology; backlit LCD; data logged to standard SD card format supplied with unit; isolated 4-20 mA output, fully configurable; 0 to 1,000 Hz pulse output, fully configurable; computer connection permits remote access to, and control of, all functions. The housing is made of NEMA 4X (IP 66) wash down.

Sonic-Pro is now available with the new T-Track mounting system (patent pending). New small pipe capability is down to 0.5 in. and new large pipe capacity is up to 100 in. Installation is fast and simple. The system features Nema 4X quick disconnects.
