Duperon Corporation has launched the SmartWave Platform, a screening technology designed to help wastewater facilities manage variable septage loads. The company also introduced its Gen 4 washer compactor for high-capacity screenings handling.

The SmartWave Septage Receiving screen uses controlled vibration to separate liquids from solids and move captured material through the screening process. The system is designed to capture solids while reducing downstream loading and does not use brushes, scrapers or augers. Its patent-pending technology is also intended to reduce FOG smearing and blinding during challenging septage conditions.

The system eliminates the need for a separate rock trap and is engineered based on site-specific flows, solids loading and operational goals. Duperon is currently offering the SmartWave through a two- to four-week pilot program that includes system setup, operator training, sampling and data collection and a final test report.

The Gen 4 washer compactor is designed to wash, compact and convey screenings from one or multiple screening systems. It includes an integrated sensor that monitors debris loading and hydraulic conditions to adjust operating speed and discharge rate. The unit also comes standard with Duperon’s Discharge Extension Option, which can move compacted screenings up to 40 feet in any direction, including vertically.
