RJN Group Inc. (RJN) was awarded the 2012 Sanitary Sewer Evaluation Survey (SSES) project for the city of Wood Dale, Ill. RJN will conduct all of the services required for the SSES from field inspections, data collection and analysis, to rehabilitation recommendations.
Complete surface inspection of 140 manholes will be conducted. Smoke testing and sewer video review will be done for 30,000 linear ft of sanitary sewer line. Private property inspections will be performed at 600 single-family homes and other buildings. The building inspection teams are comprised of two RJN field technicians who inspect both inside and outside the property.
Dye testing will be completed, as needed, on cross connections found during smoke testing. Dye testing will be performed on privately-owned buildings to confirm the presence of potential illegal connections found during building inspections. Once the inspections and data collection are complete, RJN will then analyze all field data and develop recommendations for rehabilitation.
