Semaphore Exhibit Features Telemetry Systems

Oct. 18, 2007

Semaphore, a CSE Global company, will introduce its advanced telemetry solutions for remote monitoring and automation in North America at WEFTEC.

The group will exhibit its Kingfisher and T-BOX product lines, which include the first IP-based telemetry solutions that enable the complete integration of SCADA, control and communications functionality in one rugged package.

Semaphore telemetry systems are designed to leverage easy-to-use Web technologies and inexpensive public networks. They offer up to 50% less total installed cost per point versus traditional SCADA/PLC systems and permit greater organizational access to data through automated reporting and browser software. Kingfisher and T-BOX solutions provide fast implementation and startup with minimal training and engineering costs. Also, they can be easily integrated with video and third-party devices.

The Kingfisher series includes a broad range of remote terminal unit (RTU) products, wireless remote input/output (I/O) modules, OEM products and software. Its new Kingfisher Plus+ modular RTU line is the only system featuring redundant configurations, intelligent I/O and an integrated ISaGRAF programming environment that is compliant with IEC 61131-3 and IEC 61499. These systems are well suited for large, demanding measurement and control applications that employ central stations.

The T-BOX line of SCADA and control products is ideal for both large and small decentralized applications where its push and Web technologies enable economical high performance. Only this line incorporates full Web server technology with SMS reporting and remote control to give real-time access anytime, anywhere through a standard browser. Operators can receive alarms and communicate with their sites remotely using a cell phone. Automatic alarm escalation allows key maintenance personnel to receive any unacknowledged alarms.
