Long-time state resident brings diverse experience in utility management

New Mexico American Water announced this week that it has appointed Daniel Bailet as its new vice president.

Bailet will oversee all aspects of the company’s operations within the state, including customer service, operations, regulatory compliance, conservation, community outreach and education as well as business performance.

Bailet previously worked extensively with the company as a consultant for nine years, as well as with numerous other domestic, international and government utilities. His background and knowledge of the company’s state operations as well as his varied work with other organizations is seen as a major asset for his new role.

Bailet is a long-time resident of New Mexico and holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Michigan.
