Krohne Introduces Tidalflux Flowmeters

Nov. 29, 2010
Product offers accurate measurements in partially filled pipelines

Krohne Inc., a developer, manufacturer and distributor of measurement instrumentation for the process industries, introduces its Tidalflux electromagnetic flowmeter, including IFM 4110 PF and IFM 4210 PF. Used to measure the volumetric flow rate of electrically conductive liquids in partially filled pipelines, the Tidalflux flowmeter offers unsurpassed accuracy for wastewater measurement. This innovative flowmeter is ideal for industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment applications.

The Tidalflux flowmeter is combined with a capacitive flow level measuring system, built into the wall of the measuring tube, providing accurate flow measurements in partially filled pipelines, with levels between 10% and 100% of the pipe cross-section. The flowmeter’s precise factory calibration ensures a high level of measurement accuracy in partially filled pipelines. Featuring excellent abrasion and chemical resistance, the flowmeter’s steady display of measured values is achieved regardless of rough product surfaces and distorted flow profiles. Calibrated on EN 17 025-accredited calibration rigs, the Tidalflux flowmeter provides a measuring error of less than 1% of the measured value, providing exact measurements with a low time constant even in cases of wave motion and heavy contamination.

The Tidalflux flowmeter offers the benefits of conventional electromagnetic flowmeter technology, including high accuracy, rapid response time, simple installation and commissioning and low maintenance.
