Editorial Letter: 2020 iWWD Top Projects

Nov. 16, 2020

This editorial letter originally appeared in iWWD November 2020 issue as "2020 iWWD Top Projects"

About the author:

Bob Crossen is senior managing editor for WWD and iWWD.

Every year, you and your peers nominate industrial projects to the Industrial Water & Wastes Digest Top Projects Awards. The editors read through all the submissions for initial scoring and screening and before sharing a shortlist with the editorial advisory board.

This year, we have four iWWD Top Projects receiving awards for their excellence and outstanding work: Gulf Coast Authority First Step Aeration Tank; R. Steven Biggs Regional Wastewater Pretreatment Facility; Mayacamas Warehouse DIR; and Haughton Environmental LLC.

These projects highlight the exceptional work of privatized and industrial water and wastewater treatment efforts with their own set of personal challenges and use of innovation and technology to solve them.

Normally, we would feature all these Top Projects winners in the December print issue of iWWD, but this year we are doing something a bit different. All the iWWD Top Projects will be exclusively featured on the Water & Wastes Digest website with photos and long-form features articles. There will even be featured video interviews with project managers, designers and contractors for more in-depth conversations about the projects!

So make sure you visit www.iwwdmag.com in December to read these featured articles each week and watch the video interviews with not only the iWWD Top Projects winners but also the WWD Top Projects winners in the municipal sphere.
